On Monday afternoon, March 10, 2008, one of Powhatan's special treasures; the Honorable Paul W. Cella  was in a serious motorcycle accident in King William County. While he has many broken bones and a long road to recovery, Judge Cella needs our prayers and support each day.

He was appointed back in August as our judge for Powhatan County, also serving the 11th Circuit, which also covers Amelia, Dinwiddie and Nottoway counties, and serving as a substitute judge in Petersburg.

Paul brings to life the essence of what life should be about - a genuine care for all he is around.  He has been a loyal customer of mine and my husband Curtis and we have had the privilege of helping him with all his computer/technical and appliance needs for many years.  Over those years, we have had many talks about life and the way society is today.  We have talked much about treating others with respect and maintaining a strict level of courtesy, warmth and professionalism in all we are to do each day.  Personally, we have learned much from this gentleman, for he has earned much respect from our community and all that has dealt with him over the years.  He says what he means and means what he says.  He doesn't live a fake or glamorous life to gain popularity - he believes in good hard honest work ... he is genuine.  He has always been so honest, patient and appreciative of all that we have been able to do for him over the years and we would ask that each one continue to pray for him and lift him up in the next few months.

As he recovers from each day, whether it be surgery or therapy or just a gloomy day in the hospital - take the time to send a note of encouragement - send a funny joke or an entertaining thought ... He'll be checking out the site when he's able to get back to his computer ... and meanwhile - his family and friends will share with him ALL your thoughts.

We have set up a guest book in his honor ... please sign it and please continue to check back for future updates.  We hope to add them regularly to this site.
